5 Best Exercises To Lose Belly Fat

Losing belly fat can be a tedious and hard process. It is almost always easier to gain weight than lose it, and if you want to lose weight in specific areas, that makes everything a lot harder. 

Belly fat is one of the most common places people want to lose some excess weight, but the problem with that is that with normal weight loss, belly fat is pretty much the last place where you will see some results. This means that if you want to lose it quickly, you will need to do some specific exercises that will target those areas and speed up the whole process.

Belly Exercise - Running

Running, in general, is a great exercise for losing fat and gaining stamina. But regular running just doesn’t cut it sometimes. This is why you should take it to the next level and try running on an incline!

In the beginning, you might not notice the difference, but after a few miles, you will notice a drastic increase in difficulty. Some research shows that it’s as much as 50% more effective than regular running!

When attempting this you don’t have to sprint the whole time. Try increasing your running speed for like 5 minutes, then lower your speed for a few minutes so you can recover, and then increase it again. Try doing this for 30 to 45 minutes.

  • Rowing

Most gyms have a rowing machine that you should try to use. Rowing is one of the best ways to get your blood pumping and it activates a lot of muscles with every movement. Proper rowing will use your core, arm, shoulder, leg, and back muscles simultaneously!

  • HIIT

High-Intensity interval training is rapidly gaining popularity all across the world. It is very hard to follow but also quite effective for weight loss, muscle building, and stamina increase. 

Unlike regular cardio exercises, HIIT uses explosive movements and exercises that are extremely intensive but they only last for a short time, after which there is a rest period and then you repeat the exercises. 

Starting HIIT on your own can be a bit tough so we recommend you join your local gym’s program or maybe even follow one on YouTube or other exercise platforms. 

  • Burpees

Burpees are great, they are easy to pull off whenever you are and they activate a lot of your muscles at the same time. They are an explosive movement as well so your heart will get pumping in no time. Try doing burpees in sets and doing multiple sets. This will ensure the most effective exercise per session. 

 

  • Mountain climbers

Another simple exercise you can do without having to go to the gym of find a special place to do it. Mountain climbers are basically advanced planks with leg movements added to them. They will work out your core and back muscles as well as raise your heart rate, burning fat in the process. 

These are not the only exercise you can do, but they are some of the best. But no matter how much you exercise if you don’t eat properly, it will have little to no effect on the end goal. So adjust your diet as well!
